Re: FC 25 not running smooth on PC (again)

Hello,

For context I've got a Ryzen 9 5900x, 32GB DDR4 2133 MHz, RTX 3080 - all updated (including BIOS updates etc.)

Posting this as I'm getting lost as to what to try next.
I feel like the game was running fine during my 10hr free trial for the most part, but now my game feels constant stutters despite constantly hitting 60 fps (while locked at 60 fps).

Here's everything i've tried as recommended by other players:

  • Turn game mode off (I'm on Win 10)

  • Created profile in nvidia control panel and changed a bunch of settings

  • Tried with Nvidia Geforce Experience

  • Set all in game settings to lowest

  • Changed resolution in monitors

  • turned v/sync & gsync off (and on)

  • re-installed anti-cheat

  • changed windows fc25 setting to high performance

  • disabled any overlay / nvidia geforce, discord etc.

  • tested different lower res & in windowed/windowed borderless & fullscreen.

probably more things i've tried but anyone got any more ideas? starting to run out of hope..

    Sounds like you have tried most things, some other things to check:

    • Any anti-virus software running scans etc.?
    • Any other software running? What is your CPU / GPU / RAM / HDD usage looking like when this happens? Is there anything eating up resources in Task Manager?
    • Make sure you have enough free HDD / SSD space (install on SSD if possible)
    • Try a clean install of Nvidia drivers, use their recommended settings for EAFC (new drivers out today supporting this)
    • Enable / disable dynamic resolution in game

    Is this happening in all EAFC game modes (online / offline)? Any issues in other games? Any recent software / hardware changes that could cause the change?

    Hello,

    No anti-virus running scans

    CPU runs about 30% when playing, GPU 25%, RAM 50% (Which is very high being 16.1GB)

    Have plenty of space on the SSD that I'm running the game on (running on E: Drive with 80+gb free)
    Have tried playing around with dynamic resolution no result so far..

    Happens in all game modes, offline is somewhat playable just feels delayed and stuttering

    Online is basically not playable.

    No hardware/software changes. 

    Just done the new GPU update from today so shall update.

    Hey bro. One thing that helped me with the stuttering last fifa was updating my windows. Go into settings and then system updates and check for updates. And then download and install those updates and see if that helps. Good luck.

    I had a similar issue and solved it by adding the game to nvidia control panel and setting the vsync to adaptive. In game settings are " Vsync off, fullscreen, fps cap= your monitor's refresh rate Graphic settings: all low (It doesn't matter alot if you have a good gpu).
