Re: PC shuts down when exiting FC 25
Hi Illium, thanks for your answer:
- Run the System File Checker tool, then Check for Windows and GPU updates
- System File Checker tool did find some errors and repaired them. Windows is up to date and the GPU has the latest driver (BIOS is also on the latest version).
- Repair the game files in the EA app. Go to the Library and find your game. Click the Manage icon, then click Repair.
- I did this and the process finished, though I could't tell if it actually repaired any files.
- Check if any background applications are stopping the EA app or your game.
- No obvious ones from the list you linked - but the issue is PC crashing on exiting the game, nothing is preventing it running, it runs very well (although it is rather slow to start up).
- Perform a clean boot of your PC to disable background tasks that may be interfering with your game.
- Done, the game failed to load at all until I re-enabled EA background servcies and EA Anticheat.
The PC still crashes on exiting the game. the BSOD message states "Kernel APC pending during exit", if that helps at all. DxDiag file is attached, thanks again for your help.
