Unable to buy FC points via Web app - PlayStation - "error":"invalid_request"

Hi all,

In recent days, it is not possible to purchase FC points via the companion web app. Redirecting to PS store ends with the error below.
 
{"error":"invalid_request","error_code":4161,"error_description":"The client was not found"}
 
I bought FC points directly through the PS store, but they are not synchronized to the companion application. I only see them in the FC25 (PS5) game.

  • I couldn't find any "connections" setting in my PS account.

    The only thing that I found is the "Connections" setting in my EA Account, and it is OK.

    See attached screenshot.

  • Could you please double-check if there are any issues with the link to the FC app within the PS app?

    My PlayStation Store works perfectly, in web browser in PC and in PS5.

    The error only occurs when trying to authenticate via the EA FC 25 Web App.

    I don't think it is a PlayStation issue...

  • Since a couple of days, an error occurs when I try to open the PlayStation Store through the PC WebApp (top right "+" symbol) to add FC Points:

    {"error":"invalid_request","error_code":4161,"error_description":"The client was not found"}

    I've tried everything I could: relogging, deleting cache, other web browsers, restarting PC... but nothing worked.

    I believe that there may be a problem with a previous payment, as my credit card expired recently and I had to update it, but it still does not work.

    Everything works fine on my PS5 though.

    I contacted EA Support and their best answer was for me to post it here... so here I am.
