Removing the formation won’t really fix the problem. They need to nerf pace so you don’t need to have 6 back on defense to try to keep up with the 4 on offense. 

You can pass to easy for only attacking with 4. That and you have all the speed boosts flip flaps and if that doesn’t work take a shot from outside the box with a trivela. 

Making offense manual would go a long way in helping too. Without doing the above people will just move to a similar formation to exploit the pace and easy offense. 

It's a shame because the formation is so OP and the way the AI behaves is completely different to any other formation, whether it's attacking or defending AI. Nearly every game I play is 4-2-1-3 and it's at a point where I'm tempted to use it myself.

Most content creators don't help the situation, constantly making videos on the most meta or OP formations and tactics. It's become a vicious cycle of people abusing these things, then the people on the receiving ends of defeats by these people end up abusing them just to be on an even playing field.
