Division 2 to 3

I reached Division 2 today at around 14:36. I turned off the game and turned it on later at 15:35 to realise Im back at the beginning of Division 3 again. Note: I understand if you lose in Division 2, you will return a step back but I didn't play a single game in Division 2.
