EA FC 25: A Game So Broken, Even Skill Moves Can't Save It!
I am not sure this is a forum chat, this is most definitely a frustrated consumer of FC 25.
Before you advise me on how to play and how to make first touch to open spaces or how I have to face a player before making my passes, thank you for your advice, but I'm good.
I have been playing FIFA for over 11 years, if not more, so I know I’m a decent player all year. I have gotten to a point where I want to understand which version of football you guys are trying to build in your program.
I mean, I want to understand how you are in a studio testing or building the program and just decided that a decent player with over 84 rating cannot make a simple pass. A striker cannot receive the ball under pressure, especially when the back is turned completely away from the defender.
Funny part is, you’re playing and some players will say you should start doing skill moves. I understand this is a video game and you want to make it more fun, but skill moves should be additional, not the only way to beat a defender. We all see Antony in real life with his roundabout skill moves, but let’s be honest, he couldn’t even beat Angelique Kidjo with those moves in the Premier League.
How did you come up with the idea that a single player can stretch their legs indefinitely as long as the button for tackle is spammed? How does that even remotely translate to real football?
And how on earth did you create gameplay where making a correct pass feels impossible, and turning with the ball is a struggle unless you’re passing backwards? It feels like the entire game was designed to punish anyone trying to play forward football.
The player responsiveness is another joke. It’s like my players are stuck in some kind of syrup, slowly processing every command I give them. They take ages to turn or dribble, and don’t even get me started on how sluggish they feel when trying to make a run.
I know this is probably not going to be read or answered to, but you do realize there is a reason why this particular game is receiving the worst ratings of any version you’ve released, right?
I’m guessing the product owner for this version must have strapped on a VR headset, watched a single live match in Brazil, and suddenly decided, "Yup, I've got this figured out." Because right now, I’m not sure if you’re trying to call this football or something more like "Snake in the Eagle's Shadow"—or maybe even Tetris?
Playing this game and trying to understand the logic behind the attributes you've introduced is just like telling us to play football in slow motion while the game itself seems determined to make sure nothing works as it should.
