Evolution help

So I wanted to keep Leao as an 88 rated so I can chain him into the build your FUT birthday evos but I accidentally put him into finesse express. I purposefully waited out the evo thinking that I'd be able to keep him at the 88 rating. I've also quicksold and recovered him and tried evoing through the web app but this claim partial rewards screen isn't going. Can anybody help me out
