Evolution is broken

I evoluted many players,  most of the time it is ok, 

But when I evoluted Saka to TOTY up to 94, 

He used to be my favorite player, the goals he made were excellent,  until the last step of the evolution were done and he became broken and hardly making any goals. 

Is it possible to revert the last step .

Or can someone explain why this happened, 

Now Maradona is great 89 player, and I am afraid to evolute him more and lose him in the end .
