Forced to make a new UT

Bought the game after release a few weeks/months ago. 

jumped into UT made and built up my squad, climbed the tiers in rivals and even played a few champs tournaments. 

gone to have a few games today, gone into ultimate team and it’s forced me to start a-fresh. Pick a new starter pack, do all the tutorial and started me with a new team again. 

in the companion app, I still have my existing team. I haven’t got a clue what gone on here. Just don’t want to lose all my progress with the team I’ve been using for months.
