Grassroots Evo not applying 2 League Chem Points

Hello, I have recently evolved 88 Rio Ferdinand to a Grassroots Great Evo-Player („Strategic Shift“). Shouldn‘t he be giving 2 points towards league chemistry now? He only gives 1 point so far. I did...

    Icons do not have a league as their chemistry is applied across the board to everyone in your lineup.  Even though Rio was in the Premier League with Man U, it's not defined.  Technically his league is "Icon".

Funny thing that you guys just mark everything as „solution“ that‘s even half a (maybe technical) explanation. From a gameplay (-> front-end) perspective, Icons give 1 chem point to every league -> as every other player with grassroots rarity gives 2 instead of 1 chem point to their league, there is no logical reason Icons (with grassroots rarity) shouldn’t give 2 chem points to every league. Otherwise please tell me where we can find a proper Icon Chem explanation and how the specific rarities affect it.
