it's a really stupid mechanic. Whoever at EA decided it was a good idea to punish people for playing the game is clueless.

The aim is not to punish players, but rather protect them. It's understandable it can be frustrating to be hit by a soft ban when you're in a rhythm and we're always looking at feedback and internal data points to make improvements to our systems. One of the Lead Live Operation Producers went into some detail on why this acts the way it does in the Tweet/X post below.
In short, it's to protect our fans from bad actors like bots and to avoid damage to the in game economy. If you're in a groove moving at a very fast pace it's recommended to take a shot break if you start to notice yourself being impacted.

that is so bs, it is our choice to grind the game, so us playing more than we should is on us, not for you guys to decide. you guys made this mechanic so that it keeps us dedicating the most amount of time possible to the game, which is definitely your guys primary goal - money. since we can’t complete sbcs rapidly without getting BANNED, you guys made it so that the alternative way to gain fodder and cards is by paying, which is 100% all you guys care about. Great game guys! maybe fc26 you should ban players for scoring
