Opponent quit before I took the penalty and i didn’t get the win.

It was my promotion game due to having 2x for progress in division rivals  and it was 2-2 late into the game when i got a penalty for the chance to win. I go to take the penalty, start to run up to the ball and as i go to kick it my opponent leaves and i lose connection and it goes down as a draw and i lose my 2x. Please can EA find a way to stop this as it is very unfair and unjust.
