It's such a shame this game has just become a pay to win to a certain extent. I just played a guy in div 2 with minimum 92 overall in each position. No rare cards all special. I could tell from how bad he played that he just paid for coins and rinsed it all on players. It's such a shame that EA don't come down hard on people who buy coins.

I have played every year since World Cup 98. I am 35 years old. In the past, when you knew how to play, you would be rewarded. 2+2 was equal to 4. If you were weak, you wouldn't be rewarded for your weakness. Right now, (talking for FUT) even if a pro player with a 97 overall squad plays with a rookie with an 85 overall, it is impossible for a 97ovr. to beat him, unless the game wants that result. Let them play until morning, if the game doesn't want it, there is not a single chance. EA team is making the weak and the strong indistinguishable, mixing men and women players(Le Tissier is catching all the air balls over Haaland?), ruining the real life football feeling, and still boosting the momentum nonsense with an idea of "keeping all players enjoy the game". At the end of the day, the game plays itself and we are desperately pushing some random buttons.
Let's say you don't know a thing about football, your brain can't come up with any single tactic, your aim is terrible, you just spent money, purchased in-game stuffs, and spent money for the cards, the game arousing your appetite and plays for your favor so you would stay more in game. Also that momentum disaster is at a ridiculous levels in FUT Rivals/Champions. In fact, there are tactics to completely break this. You keep losing the ball on purpose in the first half, and the game is in your favor in the second half, etc., you can find it on the internet but is it something to do with football? There is no fairness left in this game. It's not a surprise anymore to lose a game with goal expectations of 8.6 vs. 1.2 match. with a score of 1-4. A am still playing the game because it is monopoly, I like football and I'm sorry but EA is exploiting that advantage. I wish someone in the team will realize that this direction is not going somewhere beneficial neither for players nor the company. Be fair. I don't want to play Sims when I open Fifa, please give us back the old times Fifa experience.
You do realize that they nerf players you have, encouraging you to seek alternative cards, eventually driving you to purchase more packs. If you put 2 players together, of equal ability, but give one player a team full of newly released players that are highly desirable, and the other less desirable players that are released months prior, then the one with favored players WILL win lmao not even close.
To suggest anything else, just means you haven't played in higher divisions... You'll notice which cards they use and how significantly it makes a difference.
