Why can't EA share if a report has ended up in a ban

I was promised to get an update in a report I filed against a cheater. When I placed the report the ea help person told me this: EA help operator: if you want to get update then you can contact here...

If you read the help page on reporting someone it says for privacy reasons.

    And what blocks those "privacy reasons"? Is it a GDPR thing, then just leave a notification like other games does, "a report that you made in the past has resulted in ban"

    My point stands, EA should be able to bring clearity to this matter, atm it just seems like they are trying to hide the fact that they have big problem with cheaters
