This is across all game modes on Xbox console. There are simply no fouls given at all. This was reported over and over during the BETA but hasn’t changed at all. I’ve played through a full preseason tournament in Manager CM and not one single whistle on either side through all 3 matches. No advantages, no delayed cards. NOTHING. One of the most prominent aspects of the sport is completely absent from the game.
There are fouls on authentic gameplay.
Are you on console or pc and if console, what type? I’m playing, using Authentic exclusively, and I’m experiencing no fouls either side. Through roughly 10-12 Career Mode matches I’ve had the ref call maybe 5 fouls total. It’s making what is otherwise very entertaining football very unrealistic.
Yes even on Authentic gameplay the AI just don't do fouls, even with Tackle Aggression turned up, it can't be authentic if there's no fouls in a game! Needs tweaking!
There are no fouls on either gameplay type. 2 seasons, aggression 99, referee strict, 0 fouls.

Three seasons on player career using authentic mode, and the AI has committed one foul in that time. That’s right, one foul in over 100 matches.
They only tackle when they win the ball. Authentic mode needs to feel a little more unpredictable and random. At the moment it feels robotic and on rails at times.
I’ve spent hours adjusting sliders and trying different combinations, but I am growing frustrated with the game. Don’t even get me started on the players that are even unable to initiate their sprint animation in this mode.
Okay, suddenly I have fouls and rash challenges being made using authentic mode in player career. Yes, I’ve been hacked down and zipped past a number of sliding challenges and wreckless standing tackles!! Played multiple fixtures and yes… fouls and more missed tackles.
what did I change….
i went into my career mode, reset all the gameplay related tabs back to default. Then made sure authentic was switched, made sure the sliders were set to authentic also. Then I flicked to custom sliders, upped the sprint speed to 44 (so it doesn’t cause slow players not to enter the sprint animation). I turned down tackle assistance for the cpu down to 1 (don’t worry they still make good tackles) and finally I went to the cpu ai tab and put this on dynamic.
suddenly the game has come alive. Tackles, fouls and more unpredictable moments. I’m playing world class and for me, it’s a good balance as matches are battles and score lines and the opposition seem to be just right.
i would encourage anyone to try this. I reckon doing a reset to default on all gameplay sliders and then running some small tweaks has done the job, maybe it will for anyone else struggling with this.
