Seasons Mode Bug — Opponent Quit whilst losing and I Didn’t Get the Win

Hey EA,

I just had a really frustrating experience in Seasons mode on FC 26. I was in Division 1, playing for the title, and my opponent quit the match in the second half while 3 goals down. Normally, if someone quits, it should count as a win for the player who stays, right?

After the match, I went back to the menu and there was no record of the game at all — no win, no loss, no draw. It’s like the match never existed.

Is this a known bug or something EA is working on? I’ve seen it happen a couple of times now, and it really ruins the competitive side of Seasons when players can quit without consequence.

Would love if an EA rep could look into this — it feels unfair to lose out on a Division 1 title this way.

Platform: PS5
Mode: Online Seasons
Division: 1
Issue: Opponent quit → match not recorded → no win rewarded

    Yes totally agree with you. This has happened to me multiple times as well and it is really annoying.

    I think it is a widespread issue because I’ve also seen others reporting the same in other threads.

    Examples:

    Not getting wins when the opponent quits | EA Forums - 12763324

    Opponent quits whilst I'm winning in Seasons but I don't get the win | EA Forums - 12716734

    EA please fix this behaviour and stop ignoring your players. It would be great if there was a way for us to report this directly to their support team etc. Not sure if they monitor here.

    Just had this happen TWICE on me out of 4 games in Seasons.


    First Game - Losing half time, pulled it back, score 89th winner, other player wimps out and clearly rage quit. NOTHING REGISTERED

    Second Game - Won - Match registered as win

    Third Game - Lost, I stuck it out because im not a **bleep**. - Matched registered as loss

    Fourth Game - Smashing guy 4-0 at half time. Rage quits around 55mins when I score the 5th. NOTHING REGISTERED.

    Is EA suggesting that if you cant take losing force quit because only idiots last till the end when they are down and are decent humans taking it on the chin! Pathetic!

    Give up playing Seasons till they fix this issue. Standard EA. No money in Seasons so why support it!!

    What a waste of time. Playing with a MF for 15+ minutes, winning by 2+ goals and then after he quits you get nothing from that game. What a waste of time. EA please pay special attention to this situation because it is really annoying.

    Keeps happening and doesn’t seem like they are doing anything about it. Attached a photo of the name of the last person to do this to me. Pulled the cable in the 89th minute with the score at 3-1. This really sucks!

    EA can't solve this problem. It keeps happening. A bunch of cheaters have overwhelmed the company, which can't fix it, poor thing. The game experience becomes awful with this kind of rampant cheating.
