Still no Online 2v2 Friendlies (Four Friends) — Why?

I’m baffled that in 2025 we still can’t spin up a simple private 2v2 online using real clubs with four friends (two per side). This is basic social functionality for a football game and it’s been missing for years.

What’s broken (and why it matters)

• Online Friendlies is still 1v1-only. The mode literally revolves around inviting one friend for a head-to-head “season.” No groups, no 2v2, no lobby. That’s absurd. 
• Co-Op Seasons caps you at two players on one team and matches you against strangers. It’s fine for ranked grind, but there’s no way to challenge our other two friends in a private 2v2 using real teams. We end up “queue-sniping” and praying the matchmaker pairs us — which is clunky and unreliable. 
• The community has begged for this for years. There are fresh threads for FC 25 and FC 26 asking for 2v2 Friendlies / four-player invites, because the feature simply doesn’t exist. 
• Tech excuses don’t fly. FC already supports cross-play across the main online modes. If we can connect platforms in Ranked, we can connect four friends in a private lobby. 

The result

We’re forced into workarounds (two duos trying to match at the same time) or into Clubs with generated pros — fun, but not a replacement when we want real teams. That’s not “the world’s game”; that’s a hoop to jump through.
