Getting cheated in transfer market.

So this has happened to me twice now whilst trying to bid on a player. Timer gets down to less than a minute. I go back and forth with someone, bidding higher, timer resets at 30 seconds. Then, at some point it gives me an "error message", "bit has changed"? Then I'm no longer able to bid on said player, timer runs out, I lose the bidding war??? Why? Please help. Thanks.
