List of things wrong with FC26
Hello folks,
Not sure if we already have a thread like this but I thought, let's have a thread talking about the many things wrong with FC26. Don't get me wrong, graphics are great and parts of the gameplay are very enjoyable, but man are there a heck of a lot of things wrong with this game.
Personally I just play manager career mode, so I'll speak to things wrong in that, as well as in the gameplay in general. Obviously feel free to comment on the issues mentioned and add your own.
First the non gameplay related issues.
> This one has probably been mentioned. Only 28 nations in game. Not enough for a World Cup (48 teams), even with the old format of 32 teams. Not enough nations in each continent for international tournaments. For example Europe has 22 (European championship has 24), South America has only one. Are they going to add any more national teams in an update?
> It's great that managers can now go from club to club (finally), but why are there no managers except one from Ligue 1 and the Bundesliga when the leagues are fully licensed? Why are there no managers whatsoever in the Eredivisie when the league is fully licensed?
> Why do you have 7 subs no matter which competition you play in? Where is the authenticity? The Premier League has 9. CL has 11 or 12 I think, and yet you just have 7 wherever you play, even in friendlies.
> I believe they promised to have all the CL teams in game, and yet no Kairat and Pafos? Again, are they adding them in an update or did they just not keep their promise?
> Press conferences are a waste of time. Same four answer options every time, and the questions are often stupid. After winning a game in which Kolo Muani scored 3 goals, I was asked about his 3 key passes in the match. Huh?
> The news is often wrong. I won a game 4-2, during which I was 3-0 up, then it went to 3-2 and I finally won 4-2. In the news it said 'Johnson scores in great comeback for Spurs'. What comeback man? I was never behind in the match.
Now some gameplay related stuff.
> Why do players still celebrate consolation goals? How has this still not been fixed? It can't be that difficult. If they can set particular celebrations to particular players, then surely they can set a 'run back to the halfway line with the ball' after a consolation goal, no?
> Why don't goalkeepers almost ever come out? I've had so many one on ones and the goalkeeper just stays on his line which makes it easy to score. In real life they would come out to try and tighten the angle. It's stupid.
> Professional level is easy. World Class and Legendary are stupidly hard. Here's the thing, scoring goals in World Class and Legendary mode is still doable, but keeping them out almost impossible, because the opponents (even the not so good ones) dribble and pass the ball around like the Brazilian NT.
> Handballs need to be improved. I prefer to have them turned on, because in real matches there can be handball penalties, but in this case you can see from the replay that the ball doesn't even touch the hand, just hitting the player on the chest etc. and a penalty gets given anyway.
