banned because of another player’s name.

My friend and I were banned in the middle of a Clubs match because someone on our team had a racist avatar name. We had no knowledge of the name and had nothing to do with choosing it.

According to EA’s rules, simply playing with another player who has a racist or inappropriate name should not result in a ban for the other players.

We contacted the EA TOS team about this, but their response was that the ban was justified because there was a racist name on the Ai player list. However, the name was not an AI player’s name or the team’s name. It was the individual avatar name of one specific player.

We had no control over this name and were not aware of it being inappropriate. It would be helpful if EA could clarify how players are expected to be held responsible for names they have no control over, especially when they are simply playing a Clubs match with other players.

Isn’t there a way for you to verify that the name in a Clubs match actually belongs to a specific player, rather than being an AI player name created by the rest of us?
