Create a Player is Extremely Limited and Outdated

Hello EA Sports FC Team,

I would like to give feedback regarding the Create a Player feature (In the settings menu), which feels extremely limited and outdated compared to the current state of the game.

At the moment, several important attributes and systems cannot be customized, such as:

  1. Skill Moves stars
  2. Composure
  3. PlayStyles / PlayStyles+
  4. Work Rates (attacking and defensive dedication)
  5. Secondary / multiple positions

This becomes even more frustrating because Create a Player is not tied to any specific game mode by default. Since it is a standalone creation tool, there should be full freedom and no artificial limitations.

Why this matters

EA Sports FC has evolved significantly with:

  1. PlayStyles and PlayStyles+
  2. More detailed player behaviors
  3. Tactical depth and positioning

However, the Create a Player system does not reflect this evolution at all. It feels stuck several generations behind.

What I would like to see

  1. Full customization of Skill Moves and Weak Foot
  2. Ability to assign PlayStyles / PlayStyles+
  3. Editable work rates (Attack / Defense)
  4. Freedom to select multiple positions
  5. Control over attributes like composure and mentality
  6. Overall, a creation system that matches the depth of modern FC gameplay

Final thoughts

If a player is creating a custom athlete outside of Career Mode, Clubs, or Ultimate Team, the system should allow total creative freedom. Players who want realism can self-limit, but the option should exist.

This would greatly improve immersion, creativity, and replay value.

    Thank you for taking the time to put together such detailed feedback on Create a Player. The points you raised around Skill Moves, Composure, PlayStyles, Work Rates and multiple positions highlight how the current creation tools may feel limited compared with the depth of the wider FC experience.

    We appreciate the suggestion that players should have greater freedom when creating custom athletes, particularly when the feature is being used outside of modes where competitive balance may be a consideration. We can't guarantee that specific changes or features will be implemented, but feedback like this helps highlight which areas of the Create a Player experience the community would like to see expanded and brought more in line with the current systems in FC.

    For a start, please update the birth year range in Create Player from 1980-2005, it’s been stuck like this for 5 years meaning that we can’t create players younger than 20/21.
