Oh, absolutely phenomenal work on the new kit number "feature" in FC 27. Truly groundbreaking stuff.
For the past month, I've been trying to change a player's shirt number in the England national team, only to discover that your brilliant system is actually changing his number at Real Madrid instead. Because apparently, in the cutting-edge world of EA Sports, the distinction between a national team and a football club is just an unnecessarily complicated technicality. What an immersive career mode experience. Next time I change England's formation, should I check whether I've accidentally sold half of Barcelona's starting XI?
And the best part? This bug was reported on your own forums a month ago. Genuinely impressive commitment to doing nothing.
Are the developers still working out the difference between a country and a club? Is there an internal PowerPoint explaining that England and Real Madrid are, in fact, two separate football teams? Or has the engineering budget already been redirected toward designing next Ultimate Team card animations?
We're not asking for a revolutionary new gameplay mechanic here. We're asking for a shirt number to change on the correct team. Something football games managed to figure out decades ago.
But sure, why bother fixing basic functionality in a game people already paid full price for when you can just slap a new number on the box next year and call it innovation?
So, EA, is FC 27 actually going to get fixed, or is international management just another half-baked feature you've abandoned until you can sell it back to us as "improved" in FC 28?
