Why Was Iran Not Licensed in the FC 26 World Cup Update?

I would like to ask about the absence of the Iran national football team from EA SPORTS FC.

Could you please explain the main reason why Iran has not been included in the game?

Iran is one of Asia’s most successful and historically important national teams. The team has won the AFC Asian Cup three consecutive times: 1968, 1972, and 1976. Iran has also qualified for the FIFA World Cup seven times, including 2026, and has been a regular representative of Asian football on the international stage.

According to FIFA’s official ranking page, Iran is currently ranked 22nd in the world, with a highest-ever ranking of 15th.

Considering this history and Iran’s importance in Asian football, I would really appreciate a clear explanation of why the national team is still not available in EA SPORTS FC.

I would also like to raise a concern about the World Cup content in FC 26. When you introduced the World Cup-related update, why was the Iran national team still not licensed or included?

For Iranian fans, this was especially disappointing. The World Cup is one of the biggest events in football, and Iran is a qualified participant. We should be able to experience the tournament with our national team represented in the game.

Football is a sport, and EA SPORTS FC is a football game. Why should fans have to face political issues, sanctions, or other unrelated restrictions when they simply want to play with their national team?

I understand that licensing and legal matters can be complicated, but I believe football should be a way to bring people together, not create barriers between fans and the teams they support.

Could you please clarify whether the main obstacle is related to:

- Licensing or federation rights?

- Player licensing?

- Sanctions or legal restrictions?

- Or another technical, commercial, or contractual issue?

If the issue is licensing, could you please explain which rights or agreements would need to be resolved for Iran to be added in a future edition or update?

I would sincerely appreciate a transparent answer from EA SPORTS FC regarding this matter.
