FC 27 — GK selection ignored in Clubs Drop-In on Xbox Series X

Every time I play as a goalkeeper in Ranked Rush or a Pick-Up match—even when I select the goalkeeper archetype—it puts me out of position in the middle of the pitch... Are you going to fix this? It’s ridiculous that this is still happening since the game's release.

havent played the games since then i refuse to play at a position i dont pick nor play ground games to level a goalkeeper up when its not my role 

There has been 2 updates where this hasn’t been fixed, getting a bit sick of it now

did nothing special just load up as a GK, this just makes the game feel untested, beta testers were even saying this was an issue then still no fix...

its happening for me too, playing grounds 11v11 drop-ins.
trying to play GK and i get put anywhere in attack it seems random.
same thing happens on CAM i get put on the wings, with CB i get put on CM, etc...

one in 15 games or so i do end up getting in at GK, and I also heard someone saying that a work around is going in with a full squad in drop-ins then you would get put in correct position. but can't confirm

I have the same Problem, EA please Fix this Rapid.

I'm having this problem too, but differently. Steps - I choose my CB archetype, select the CB position in the drop ins lobby and it always puts me in the CDM position and never in the back four. I experimented by choosing the full back position, same result CDM position.  Tonight with my CB pro the opposition's keeper took a goal kick and instead of it being our striker who was near the edge of the opposition's box it was my player. On 26 when the opposition took a long goal kick central my CB would usually be on the end of it in the position he's supposed to be in. I hope they can sort this out. 

I also play with a CAM archetype and am getting put on the wing quite a lot

It’s just in drop ins and it will put me as midfielder when once loaded into the match

I can't play CB at all on drop-ins. I need to level up my player but it keeps ignoring mi position and sends me to play ST or CAM.

I’m not able to upload a video. 

but it’s all online modes. every possible way you can play rush it doesn’t work. And even all types of 11v11. 

I’m using the shot stopper archetype with it set as active. 

in drop in and club modes I make sure to select gk as my position and once the match loads I am set as a field player.

i have tried joining lobbies thru invites and going into matches solo and it still doesn’t allow me to play gk

Hey all, is it possible to grab us a video of what you are seeing?

Is it in all modes or just specific ones?

Do you see the issue with multiple items or just certain ones?

This is happening to me and a lot of other pc players as well. Even que-ing as a defender it will still force you to play attacker
