FC 27 keeps crashing to desktop without any error message on PC

Hi everyone,

I'm having a problem with EA Sports FC 27 on my PC. The game suddenly closes and returns to the desktop during matches without showing any error message.

My PC specs:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7500F

GPU: AMD Radeon RX 9070 GRE 12 GB

RAM: 32 GB

OS: Windows 11

What I've tried so far:

Updated my AMD graphics drivers

Repaired the game files through the EA app

Repaired EA AntiCheat

Reinstalled Windows

Unfortunately, none of these steps permanently fixed the issue. The game sometimes works for a few matches and then crashes again.

Other games work normally, so the problem seems to be specific to FC 27. I also checked Windows Reliability Monitor, but there are no errors or crash reports related to FC 27.

Has anyone experienced the same issue? Does anyone know a solution?

Thanks in advance!

    Thanks for trying those suggestions.

    Next, clear the Shader Caches.

    1. On your PC, open Disk Cleanup and select the C: drive
    2. Check DirectX Shader Cache and click OK
    3. Open AMD > Settings > Graphics > Advanced > click reset Shader Cache

    Disable MPO with these steps:

    1. Go to NVIDIA's website and download the NVIDIA MPO Tool. This works on AMD cards as well. Download mpo_disable.reg. You can also download mpo_restore.reg to enable it again.
    2. Run this file and click Yes to the Windows security prompt
    3. Restart your PC

Give these a try and let me know how it goes. Thanks!

Thanks for your help, but unfortunately, none of these solutions worked. The game still crashes to desktop during matches without showing any error message. Do you have any other suggestions?

Thanks! It looks like you might be using the speaker on your controller. This could be causing the crashing. Try going to the Sound Control Panel > Playback tab. Right click on your controller and choose Disable. Then, choose another output for the audio. Speakers, headphones, etc.

Also, disable this under the Recording tab. You can go into Windows Settings > System > Sound to make sure there's a different output select for audio.

I'd like you to do this as well:

    • Go into the settings for FC 27 > Display Mode. Set this to Borderless or Full Screen
    • Frame Rate: Lock it to match your monitor or set a cap. Don't set it to uncapped.
    • Set Dynamic Resolution Scale to Off
    • Set Strand Based Hair to Off or Low

In the Adrenalin software, go to Open Gaming > EA Sports FC 27. Make sure Radeon Anti-Lag, Radeon Boost, Radeon Chill and Enhanced Sync all all set to Off. Wait for Vertical Refresh should be set to Off also.

Let me know how it goes.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I've attached my DxDiag report. I hope it helps identify the cause of the crashes.

Hi there. Thanks for reaching out. Can you get me a DxDiag report? I'll go over this for any issues that might be causing the crashing. Instructions for gathering the report can be found in this article for diagnosing PC issues.
