Rivals passing issues

Hi guys I have an issue with rivals. When I play in Division Rivals I try to pass the ball with a regular pass or with a pinged pass but instead of passing the ball it does that thing where it lift the ball up to do a little sprint boost, the thing is it does that only in Rivals, in squad battles is fine. Any tips? Don’t get it
