Transfer Market Locked After Switching to PS5 – Ruining My FC 27 Early Access
Hi,
I really need help from EA Support or an EA Community Manager regarding my Transfer Market access in FC 27.
I have been playing FIFA/EA FC for many years. I started on Xbox, later moved to PC, and this year I switched to PS5 Pro. My Xbox and PC accounts are already linked to the same EA account, so my account history should clearly show that I am not a new FIFA/FC player.
Yet because I moved to PlayStation, I am apparently being treated as a new player and my Transfer Market access is locked.
I understand that EA has these restrictions to prevent bots, coin farming, multi-account abuse and similar activity. But there has never been any abuse, suspicious activity or related violation on my account. I simply changed platforms.
What makes this especially frustrating is that the Early Access period is genuinely my favorite part of FIFA/FC every year. I love the first few days when everyone is building their squads, Gold cards actually matter, and the market and progression are still fresh.
This restriction has completely taken that enjoyment away from me.
I have already spent almost THREE HOURS doing Foundation objectives purely to unlock the Transfer Market, and I am still nowhere near finished. Intro to Evolutions alone requires 8 matches, on top of everything else the game wants me to complete.
I’m 33 years old and have a 2-year-old child. My gaming time is already extremely limited. Spending hours and hours completing objectives that I would otherwise have no reason to do, just to unlock one of the most fundamental parts of Ultimate Team, is simply not realistic for me.
After almost three hours of grinding these objectives today, I was honestly so frustrated that I was close to just deleting the game.
That is particularly disappointing because I specifically look forward to this Early Access period every year. Instead of enjoying what I consider the best part of the game, I have spent essentially my entire available playtime trying to prove to an automated system that I am a legitimate player.
Please, can an EA Community Manager or someone from EA Support review my account manually and escalate this if necessary?
My EA account history should show years of FIFA/EA FC activity across Xbox and PC. I am happy to provide whatever information is necessary to verify this.
I am not asking for a ban or legitimate restriction to be bypassed. There is no abuse involved here. I am simply asking EA to recognize my existing account history instead of treating me as a completely new player because I moved to PlayStation.
Early Access is supposed to be the most enjoyable part of the year for players like me, and right now this restriction has honestly made me lose almost all motivation to play.
I would really appreciate someone from EA taking a look at this rather than giving me a generic response telling me to keep completing objectives.
Thank you.
Hey, there
Switching to a new console like the PS5 is exciting, so having the Transfer Market locked on the Web or Companion App right as early access kicks off is a rough bump to run into.
When you switch platforms or set up a brand-new console, the system treats your PS5 as a new device. Because of security checks to keep the market fair and prevent unauthorized bot activity, Web and Companion App transfer market access is temporarily locked until your new device builds up enough in-game playtime.
Here is how you can unlock access on your new PS5:
- Log in and play active matches on your PlayStation 5 console.
- Complete at least 3 full matches per day across any Ultimate Team mode (like Squad Battles, Rivals, or Rush) and make sure to log into the Web or Companion App on that same calendar day (following UTC time).
- Do this over 2 to 4 active days while keeping your account in good standing (playing more than 3 matches in a single day won't speed up the process).
- Once the system recognizes your regular play on the new console, Web and Companion App market access will automatically unlock.
Keep in mind that you can still freely buy and sell players directly on your PS5 in the meantime! EA Advisors are unable to manually grant or speed up Transfer Market access, but logging those active days on your console is the quickest way to get the Web App unlocked.
