Mainly in franchise mode. Player models are bugged for rookies and created players, online franchise disconnects every time you do something major(play a game, mini camp game...)
Makes me wonder if they actually play franchise to test it out...
The game is a mess. Players have the ball morph onto their arms after plays. Penalties are non existent and can’t be fixed despite the fact that there are “penalty sliders”. The HFA issue needs to be resolved. I had a game that went into OT and the clock started at 15:15. You can’t edit players without messing up service time. The Practice Squads don’t follow the new guidelines. They still don’t have LS as a position with properly rated players.
EA really should be ashamed of this product. But I know they are not and won’t go out of their way to fix these things.
Is head to head good? I have not had a chance to play online yet so I thought I'd ask.
I use off-line franchise and the game is fantastic!!! The gameplay is as good as Madden 23, got more options on trades, adding the the option year for rooks is great!! Taking out the auto reorder on the depth charts is good, lot more gameplay animations, I have no complaints. In game scoreboard could be larger. Took me a minute to find the play clock, the clock is missing in the end zones? Currently in week eight season one.
Framerate needs to be fixed for in between plays on series x massive drops
I haven’t played Madden in 3-4 years. I’ve heard all the negative things said about the game in that time. This year I decided to go against my better judgement and purchase Madden 24 and to say the game is a mess it’s an understatement. I’ve only played MUT so far and most of the modes I try to play I’m greeted with a server error. The greedy folks at EA have made sure the store works flawlessly though. They should absolutely be ashamed for releasing a game in this state. What an embarrassment!
Well I played a game before bed last night online. I couldn't wait anymore. I was so glad I ended my weekend being 1-0. Currently I'm 3-2.

I'll admit I'm happier with franchise than I've been in a few years, besides the bugs. But compare it to madden 08 franchise mode and its no where near as good. If you aren't old enough to have really played it I'd say go back and look at it how much more realistic some things were. Players value's changed based on draft/bust status, franchise icons, team distractions, players would holdout, preseason battles would help determine cpu's depth chart, they had the mini games, suggestions on who to cut etc.
I usually play franchise by myself, and the CPUs make dumb unrealistic moves like keeping a 34+ year old with a ton of cap space and letting their 25 year old franchise QB walk in free agency
