Bought new game on banned account

I bought Madden 24 Deluxe edition on my playstation account that had a EA banned account. I went to open the game on another account and got none of the extras that I paid for. Why can’t I unlink my banned EA account from that playstation and create a new one? You guys already took all my progress from all EA games on this account that I have been playing on since 2013. The ban was a EA ACCOUNT BAN not a console ban so why can’t I use my playstation account? I spent $100 dollars on the game thinking I would be able to just make a new account. Im going to need a refund for atleast 40 dollars (what the deluxe edition cost more then the regular) so that I can atleast buy it on a different account and get the extra add ons.

Thanks for taking a moment to reach out to the Madden NFL 24 community on Answers HQ.

To confirm a few things with the information you first shared. First, extras like what might come with a deluxe edition of a game will only go to the account that purchased the game. So if you share a game on an Xbox or PSN with another account that is signed in on the device, they may get access to the base game but will not receive the extras.

Secondly, if an EA account is actioned/banned you will need to reach out to our TOS team to further investigate the BAN or dispute it. We are not able to assist with this, or other account issues, here on the forums.

    • You will want to fill out this online forum to reach out to our TOS team for further assistance.
    • Please note, that not all bans will appear in your account's Ban History.

If you are looking for more information on bans with your EA account check out our help articles below:

While you can continue to access your PSN account, you cannot unlink it from your EA account and link it to a different EA account to circumvent a ban. This would be a security measure our support cannot assist with.

From here, I would strongly recommend reaching out to our TOS team for further assistance with the BAN on your EA account, If they do determine the ban will stay in place then you will be unable to play with the EA/PSN account for Madden 24.

    Thanks!

I know that… my problem is I can’t even use the extras that come with the game because I can’t link a new EA account to my PS5 account that currently has my banned EA account linked to it still which I accidentally bought the game on. Thinking it wouldn’t be a problem to start over on a new EA account. Just for me to find out I basically got finessed by EA because that wasn’t the case and now the extra 40 I paid for over the standard edition was for nothing. I basically paid $100 and still got the standard edition

The EA advisors say the same automated message over and over again. The TOS team does not provide any clarity on why bans are being instituted or upheld. Why is there no human to human support. EA is a billion dollar company and should provide base level customer service support for these basic issues. Instead we get these “advisors” that know 2 responses, they probably bots or outsourced from India.
