Can't Lock In Lineup in Play a Friend

Me and my brother have played over 50 games in "Play a Friend" mode. A couple weeks ago, I ran across an error after adding 1 card to my lineup (99 OVR RE Leonard Williams) and it would not let me. The error message says "Our servers cannot process your request at this time. Please try again later." then kicked me to the Madden Main Menu. Since that night I have sold the card and changed my lineup countless times by adding and selling several players that was in my lineup that night but still have the same error message pop up to this day. I can play online H2H and everything else in MUT with no problems except play a friend. Has anyone had this same problem and if so what was your fix? I have changed uniforms and nearly every single player in my lineup by manually changing them or generating best lineup. This just randomly happened after we played over 50 games against each other spanning over several months. Both of us are on Xbox Ones with no bans or anything on either accounts. He has no issue locking in his lineup either, so the problem somehow is with me I just don't know how.

    It seems anytime you play H2H against a friend, it never uses your current line up. Me and a friend have tried everything we could think of and still have not been able to play against each other using our current, greatly improved teams. It always makes us use the 93 OVR lineup we used when we were both a few days into the game. Its strange that its giving you an error like that. I doubt its related to the fact you sold the card, since it uses my lineup from a month ago (most of which has been sold) and I have not had that issue yet, though I'm on Steam/PC. Sorry for not answering your question, I'm just following to hopefully see why local H2H lineups are always wrong and dated.
