Madden 24, Xbox Series S, Crossplay

Madden 24 is not showing me any options for crossplay in the menu.
i have an Xbox series S. Crossplay is enabled in my console settings.

I have tried all tips suggested on the EA site and nothing has worked.

I would like to play with my brother via Crossplay. That is the entire reason I bought the game.

How can I access crossplay capabilities?

We both have next gen M24. He is on PS, I’m on Xbox series S.
He has successfully cross played with another friend who had it on Xbox
But for me, crossplay does not even appear as on option in the game menu
