Hi there, @Wil20rob 

I'd like you to power cycle your equipment with the following steps: unplug your modem/router and console. After 2 minutes plug in the modem/router. Let them come back online completely. Then plug in your console and start it up. Let me know if that helps or not. Thanks!

  • I have the same issue; even in Madden 23.  I always had to unplug my console, hold the power but in for 5 seconds, plug it back in, and turn it on.  Then, and only then, would it allow me to connect to the servers.  

    I'll try your suggestion.

  • I mean, I'm glad I have a workaround, but shouldn't something be done so this isn't necessary?  I mean, it's still a problem that EA should be finding a permanent fix for, workaround or not.

    Normally, when power cycling resolves an issue, it has to do with clearing the cache on your console/PC. It also happens with many games that require an online connection. When your system goes in to sleep mode, the connection is severed which causes the game to need to reconnect by restarting.

  • Okay, but is that process a normal requirement in order to access the servers?  Should I just expect to have to do this practice everytime I want to play?

  • That didn't work for me I've been trying to connect and play for 3 days now!

    Try clearing the alternate MAC address with these steps:

    1. Go to your Xbox Settings
    2. Go to "Network", then "Advanced Network Settings"
    3. Click on "Alternate MAC Address", and then click "Clear"

  • Every time they say they sent a confirmation code it never goes through.

    Apologies. I didn't know you also weren't receiving the code. If you use gmail, did you check the Promotions tab? In Outlook/Hotmail, it shows up in the Focused folder.

  • Yes I've checked every folder in my Gmail and still nothing comes through
