Re: (PS4) Can't add Online Friends Through Friends Portal

Thanks for letting us know what you are running into with Madden 24. 

Would it be possible to get the following information?

• Platform:
• PSN ID/GameTag:
• Are you playing the Last Gen or Current Gen version of Madden 24?
• Do you get any error messages?
• Does this happen on any other account on the device?
• Do you have cross-play enabled or disabled?
• Have you recently unlinked or linked your PSN to an EA account?
• What type of network are you using? (wired, wireless, hotspot)
• What is your NAT Type?
• If possible, do you have this issue with any other EA game?

Also if you have not try going through our following guides to see if this clears up:

Xbox

• Quit the game and other running apps from Quick Resume (For Series X|S consoles)
• Remove any connected device, or additional USB's from the console then restart the Xbox and check
• Check for updates 
• Try the steps in our Connection and Advance Connection Guides 
• Open you're Xbox NAT Type
• Change DNS settings (You can use the public google DNS primary: 8.8.8.8, secondary: 8.8.4.4, unless there is a different DNS you would rather use)  

PlayStation

• Verify you signed into your PSN account
• Check for updates 
• Restore Licence
• Try the steps in our Connection and Advance Connection Guides 
• Open your PS5 NAT Type
• Change DNS settings (You can use the public google DNS primary: 8.8.8.8, secondary: 8.8.4.4, unless there is a different DNS you would rather use)

Hi, thank you for replying. I appreciate the list of suggestions but I tried them and they didn't fix my issue. I want to specify that I do NOT have issues playing online with random people. I played an online random H2H the other day to test. It is just that my Madden 24's friends portal is nonexistent. I am able to get on the servers for online without any trouble. It is adding friends/ playing with friends and I am unable to do.

• Are you playing the Last Gen or Current Gen version of Madden 24? I don't know. I preordered on the PS4 store and downloaded it. How I do I check this?
• Do you get any error messages? No. When I press R3, nothing happens at all. When a friend sends me a friend request, nothing happens at all.

• Have you recently unlinked or linked your PSN to an EA account? Yes, but only because of the issue at hand. I used two different EA accounts and the same problem existed on both of them.
• What type of network are you using? (wired, wireless, hotspot) Wireless

• If possible, do you have this issue with any other EA game? Not that I'm aware of

No Error Messages

Yes, I unlinked/relinked my EA account

Wireless Network

The only issue is that I don’t have access to the friends portal. I can play random people online but not friends. They can’t send me request either. 

The same just happened to me ea, fix your game.

• If possible, do you have this issue with any other EA game? No on FIFA 23 I DO have the friends portal. It's a Madden problem

EA any fix as of yet? If not any discussions of refunds for the client? Please urgently advise! 

How about you fix your game or refund my money. Having same issue

Having same issue for Xbox please fix 

I am also unable to hit my r3 button and access my ea connect to be able to play with friends 70$. Spent and unable to play my game with friends how do I fix it I did everything on your list and it still doesn’t work
