COMPUTER AI GOALINE AND RUNNING THE BALL
I hope everyone is doing well and I REALLY hope some Devs see this post. I've played offline franchise mode every year since madden 12 and over time the computer AI/logic has slowly devolved becoming very easy for the most part, even with adjusted harder sliders on all madden. I believe there's a lot of tuning that needs to be done to make the AI smarter, however there's two issues that drive me up a wall while playing my offline franchise games I'd like to address that I assume are easy fixes:
- AI DEFENSE GOALINE SITUATIONS:
1st,2nd,3rd,4th and goal situations inside the 5 yard line are a guaranteed touchdown 99% of the time. ANY inside zone run will beat the AI defense. They NEVER stack the line or use any goal line formations, EVER, even if I'm one yard from scoring. The AI just needs to be tuned to utilize goaline blitzes more often in these situations.
- Computer AI offense running the ball
Just bad, really BAD. This is by far the worst year of AI running I've ever experienced. I played a full franchise season with 9 minute quarters as the PANTHERS and not a single team rushed for more than 20 yards against me. I think the running back AI logic just needs to be tuned to commit to holes the o line makes for them.
Another note, when I run the ball against the AI defense, I find it a little too easy at times, however it seems to be a better balance overall compared to previous years.
Overall I've been enjoying the game, but these two issues are slowly making the game stale for me, and I hope they are fixed soon.
