Creation suite and gameplay feedback
I took the time to look up how to do all this, so i hope it gets to wherever it needs to go.
Dear Madden Team,
I spent $100 on the game that wasn't what I expected and am like most just disappointed. I do believe you guys truly worked on the game. However, it's not the game anyone thought it'll be. The only expectations meet were the ones of the people who want to see it fail. The superstar creation suite should be in create a player, the create a stadium for teambuilder should resemble madden 12, if you can't scan the overseas arenas, you shouldn't market them as actual places to play in game, importing teams shouldn't just delete the team the players should at least be fa's, the facemasks should be on the helmet, hell back to create a player: was the promise for a deeper player creation suite only for showdown cause inside the trailers the wording you used doesn't match the product we received. I understand you take it out to make superstar mode the place to go, instead you're slowly killing your game because if that. Let me explain, as customers we all know your main focus every year is MUT and the showdown. Its only shameless promotions because you say you're focusing on all players yet that's just not the case. If so then the players who can't afford internet would be rewarded with the same game as everyone else, the people who can barely afford the game. By forcing players to experience the things they want through a paywall is deceiving. Deceiving to your loyal customers, deceiving to your new ones, deceiving to the kids who want to play the game and most of all its deceitful to the parents who work overtime just to keep a rough over their family's heads and food in their stomach to surprise their children with a game for Christmas that they've been talking about all year. only for said game to make the child have to go online to get rosters that are up to date or even close to correct at launch, A game that doesn't have any of the features available to them as promised and to not be able to create or play the same game as their friends who might be more well off. This is the first madden I've owned in over 10 years because it became painful to me to never play a game my mom or any family member worked hard to give me. To no longer feel the same magic when booting up madden 08 even though its 2010 and I can't play the latest game, but this one is still special in its own right. the last madden rewarded to me was the madden 13 and the Og madden 25 and that's when you lost me. No shade to Activision but I was never able to play call of duty and still don't to this day because of the only online factor, yet I'll never forget meeting up at a friend's house and having madden tournaments during summer, because we had free time in between football practice. It was fun back then dreaming of features that would come back like create a team and stadium or that would be added like tattoos and arm sleeves just for me to be mortified by how it was implemented in the first game I spent my own money on. The realization that its almost everything we've been asking for, it's just locked behind spending extra money on the game to get subpar features nowhere close to promised that are stuck to that game mode for the sole reasons of getting microtransactions and to highlight it over others instead of making it something that's available to all on release like it used to be. Checking your profits on madden it seems once you've obtained the exclusive rights you never had a year that you didn't profit. So, the question I ask is: when did it stop being about the gamers and more about the money? Your division at Ea will always have funding from loyal customers and MUT players by focusing on all. It's super simple just do the right thing. An offline create a team, and stadium that can be uploaded. A player creation suite as deep as superstar for offline that can't be used in mut but only on private matches yet still be used for offline and online franchise. Historical teams that can be used for offline and online quick play. those are just a few things that could help with the longevity of the game when its being used by offline or franchise players. presentation goes beyond just lighting. I enjoy the look of madden over cfb 25. Yet I have 250+ hours in that game over the 87 I have in madden. Most of the 87 were spent on trying to get draft classes loaded, my franchise settings to save, favoriting plays in game because they aren't saved across the board (i.e. I can favorite them in practice but it won't be a favorite in game), Getting assets to load from create a team, getting the created player to save because he wouldn't and would revert back to the default appearance when completed. It's hard to hide the favoritism online players receive. I feel slighted even though I'm able to go on the internet. It's as small as the fact that the helmets are in order when it comes to facemask only in the superstar suite. That alone shows me where all the care and focus went. This isn't just about how I currently feel about this product> Its the anger I have knowing a child me and children today like me a cheated of a fun enjoyable game that has all the assets there but aren't given to them because they can't afford it, after they or their parents spent 70+ after tax on a product that wasn't as promised or marketed. I'm unaware if you can move the assets in superstar to create a player but I ask that you do. I want to just have the small details be available to all because it shows you truly care about all your gamers. I'll end it with this. In 2019 I bought Ea NBA live, it sucks you no longer make that game cause from graphics to gameplay it was wayyy better than 2k, I've bought 2k's and stopped playing because they've felt nothing like your game. The only place 2k continues to win is the level of customization awarded to all players. Sometimes you want a player that looks just as good as your online model in offline modes that in madden isn't possible. The same hype I felt for that game is what I felt for madden and if anyone of these new features were available offline for consumers, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be typing this and so many other gamers wouldn't still be upset. From major player face scans not being available at launch to tattoos and emotes being locked behind a paywall to the latest equipment and create a team (because teambuilder is only about creating a team not a stadium too) being possible if you have Wi-Fi and computer. For someone who was once a loyal customer i can see what I saw at 14 with the release of madden 13; you no longer care about the casual gamer. From the auction houses of madden mobile, to the flashy cleats out of superstar packs, to me along with many others it looks like you only care about the people who are willing to spend more money on the game. I used to participate too on madden mobile, and as a business owner myself I understand why it's an important feature to focus on for the company. Unfortunately, you lost me the day my team was lost after every new season on madden mobile; and sadly, it's the same way today with how dull madden feels. I've tried playing these past few weeks, yet the game reminded me why I stepped away from gaming entirely. Modern AAA companies don't care about the fans and more about what the fans can afford (which is more money because buying it alone isn't enough). Again, i do understand who microtransaction's are important. Yet the same reasons you've lost me as a consumer a decade ago is the same reasons you're losing more now. Stripping back the game to focus only on the online modes and making them more appealing is removing the magic that made us all fall online with your product growing up, and playing on our nostalgia only to underdeliver on it was the biggest slap in the face not to just all your old customers, not to just your current customers but to the new ones who thought "screw what people online say" just to see that they really weren't lying and that's been what's pissed me off the most. is the one year I wholeheartedly believed it changed, and reviewers will get proven wrong to be let down yet again was truly disheartening. I do hope some of these features will be available in an update to the game so franchise players can use their superstar model in franchise, some tattoos and custom hair styles and skin tones and eye colors will be available offline, or more logo spaces and stadium options on teambuilder other than the ones used for the relocated teams. Small things like that go a very long way to the players that don't use MUT, Superstar showdown or Head2Head. That is all we truly ask. I do plead that some are included in future title updates because I'm sure as of today that I won't be buying madden 26 without them, and soon more loyal customers will be doing the same. Some want features from older games like the nfl2k series and I do agree with them, but this current game (madden 25) has a lot of features that could keep gamers satisfied while you continue to innovate for future games. They just need a little tlc and more availability outside a designated function (i.e. Superstar player models and emotes being used in franchise or quick play). To unlock gear, clothes, emotes could still be done with tokens or through superstar mode challenges yet only being able to use them there is wasted on if half the players never boot it up to play all the small details. Instead making it something to progress further customization options for a model available for use in other game modes without taking away from the players who do enjoy the 3v3. To be able to have the same model I made in superstar have the ability to be transferred out or recreated is alone a big step because even with the limited options the suite has, at least I can create someone that looks like me and it's sickening not to be able to do the same for my franchise, or to play against my brother, or friends. I'm not alone with these feelings overall about the game and the lack of immersion it gives.
update: there’s a glitch that wouldn’t show all the plays I added to my custom playbook once I made a new one that was just missing one play it still didn’t work even though they should be separate playbooks. I deleted one playbook and it deleted both so I deleted the game
