Enhancing Madden Franchise Mode for Greater Engagement and Revenue Potential

Dear EA Sports Madden Development Team,

First, I want to express my appreciation for your ongoing efforts to develop Madden and deliver an engaging football experience. I understand the challenges and competing priorities you face, especially with the tremendous success of Madden Ultimate Team (MUT). With that in mind, I’d like to offer a suggestion to enhance Franchise Mode—specifically the Connected Franchise experience—so it becomes both a deeper simulation and a stronger revenue driver for the Madden brand.

Many Madden leagues currently rely on third-party platforms like NeonSportz, using the Madden Companion App to pull data and create a more immersive experience. This demonstrates the strong demand for a deeper, more customizable franchise experience. If EA Sports were to officially integrate or even acquire and enhance such a platform, the potential for increased engagement and revenue is enormous.

Here are some key features and benefits that could transform Franchise Mode:

  1. Player Value System:
Introduce a dynamic, customizable player value system that simulates how real-life general managers assess player worth. This would help users better understand roster-building strategies and increase engagement with roster management.

  2. Enhanced Commissioner Tools:
Provide commissioners with more control, including trade approvals, ability edit approvals, banning custom playbooks, and other league management tools. This ensures fairness and balance while fostering a more competitive and enjoyable league environment.

  3. Official EA Sports League Bot for Discord Integration:
By creating an official, branded EA Sports bot for Discord (or other platforms), you can centralize user engagement within your ecosystem. This could be offered as a subscription service, which leagues are already accustomed to paying for with Neon Sports. With EA’s branding and resources, such a tool could significantly expand the reach and adoption of Franchise Mode.

  4. Customizable Media Features:
Allow users to upload censored media, such as news clips or player highlights, to create a more immersive league narrative.

  5. Monetization and Engagement Opportunities:
By expanding the depth and appeal of Franchise Mode, you can attract a broader audience. The increased time players spend in Franchise Mode would naturally lead to more in-game purchases and overall interest in Madden. This offers a strong incentive for upper management to invest in these changes.

Ultimately, these changes align with EA Sports’ mission of delivering the most authentic and engaging football simulation. They would also grow Madden’s audience by appealing to users who enjoy deeper simulation experiences, such as aspiring general managers and coaches.

Thank you for taking the time to consider this proposal. I appreciate the hard work that goes into developing Madden, and I hope this idea inspires new ways to make Franchise Mode a standout feature.

Sincerely,
Marquis.
