In your mind it could be, but in reality it's a simple marketing strategy that wasn't very forward looking.
I'm pretty happy with the way the game changes every year it keeps getting better Imo
You are right, it's the same game.
I'm sorry to tell you, you are wrong!
Guessing, I would say you where born in the 2010 decade bc you could not have experienced Madden at its best in the lime light years this game is so far from its best days going backwards.
I can see why someone who didn't experience the best of madden would say its getting better, bc the next Gen version is all that you know.

I was born in 2001, and grew up on the PS2 and Wii Maddens.
I was born in 1958 and the game is definitely better. Not to say there hasn't been some dud years, but on the whole the game has improved. I will be at GameStop midnight sale to get this years version.
The game has VASTLY improved each year. The issue is not that it's not improved. Most people compare it to how much it has improved in regards to other sports games, which all offer better presentation all around.
Which is why Madden 25 has worked to improve the presentation and atmosphere, at which I think they've done a great job at btw.
The comments that seem to refute this, and say the game is the same, present this as fact.
The fact is if you think the game has not changed then I don't trust your opinion anymore because you obviously haven't played much, or if you have are not very observant and just want to say a blanket statement because you don't care for Madden.
You can like or hate the way Madden has progressed, but to say it hasn't improved is not a believable statement from my experience. It's dismissive due to your preconceived opinion of Madden.
- @Mrs3124 He is not wrong. I have played Madden since it first debuted, on about every platform that it has been on, from Sega Genesis, to 3DO, to SNES, PC, you name it. We are talking WAY before 2010, as in the 90's man..when some of y'all weren't even born in fact..
So unlike your comment to others here, I don't fit into your group. I've experienced the best, and worst, of all Maddens, likely far more than you have ever played.
And I can safely say the game, despite not being quite up to what other sports games are (it's getting there though), is a fantastic game now compared to where it was just a few years ago.
This year especially, as this year's game is probably the largest leap from one year to the next that I have personally ever witnessed, likely due to the EA CFB 25 game that is dropping to give them some competition.
Everyone can believe what they want, you can hate on the game or say it's the same, whatever. Your comment, however, seems to me to just reek of nostalgia.
The limelight years are right now, not years past. Well said Glass_Odogg!!!
- @GLASS_ODOGG Yes,it is improved every year. But
the pace is slow. Specifically, presentation and pre game introduction are lot to be desired. Look at EA CFB 25.
