My humble plea to change positional designations

Especially on defense. 

1. Change ROLB and LOLB to Will and Sam (Strong Side and Weak Side linebacker)

2. MLB to Mike. Why is this important? Especially in Nicke currently often times the  MLB and ROLB will end up swapping spots and responsibilities, depending on the strength of the defense. 

3. Nose tackle, 3 Tech, Stong and weak side edge on DL. These also need to adjust depending on the strength of the offensive front.

 

What's important also is that if the offense does a true "play flip" the defense needs to also adjust and shift accordingly AND THE GAME NEEDS TO ALLOW THE TIME TO DO SO. 

 

Granted if the offense auto motions the strength of the defense the defense should micro shift but not completely. 

 

I also like the college football game settings on how they will react to motion. Bring this into the game as well. 

 

Strong Safety and Free Safety needs to adjust pre snap to the strength of the defense as well. 

 

3. Slot corner. Over the slot receiver...period. If the offense flips...he follows.

 

4. Lastly, and this is very important. BOUNDARY and FIELD CORNERS. If you want to change this specific setting to either "follow" or play Right or Left Corner (to the offense) you can do so. 

 

These changes would revolutionize the game fundamentally. In a good way.

    they should just add positions like that for lineup adjustments like sub linebacker position but we should have a designated will and sam for changes in scheme like sometimes in a 3-4 the lolb and rolb one is pass rush the other is zone but you can't really designate this position other than a locked in lolb or rolb should be able to know who will be who or have it change on what's being ran, cause some linebackers are meant for zone not pass rush and etc, allot of what you say i agree with. realism and accuracy to depictions of the game is what's needed.
