PS4 Madden vs PS5 Madden

I understand that Madden on PS5 has to be a different game with different spec, visuals, ECT. I get all that. But what I don't get is how there is an update for the game with player overalls going up and down or Dev Traits being upgraded or downgraded and it doesn't apply to both games. PS5 Madden gets updates immediately made to the game, while I will get an update for PS4 Madden but nothing has changed. No Dev Traits have been changed for any players since the game came out and even those were reverted back to a previous update so those are currently incorrect ie. Breece hall or Pacheco not having SS dev traits. Do they not update PS4 to drive players away from that to move to PS5 version?
