Can you give valid reasons why? The only reason i see people not liking this is because they cant load their playbooks with nothing but cheese and money plays.
All coaches use their own playbook, be it cheesy or not, it's a game, why take the fun out of it?

Fun for who? I haven’t cried just pointed out the biggest reason why it isn’t allowed. It certainly isn’t fun for the person playing against an unrealistic playbook full of meta plays. Tbh I don’t play H2H because no one plays a real game of football so I could care less. It’s fun isn’t really a valid reason as that’s subjective to opinion.
You don't have the variation in your teams plays that you get with MUT because of multiple players with apprentice abilities. I can't necessarily have a QB with HRM. I can't necessarily get 2 or 3 guys with slot/outside/HB apprentice. I can't do certain routes at multiple positions. Offense in regs is so much more bland than in MUT. What we did have, was custom playbooks. I could call any play in the game. I could put certain personnel on the field, and audible down with creativity. This made up for a lot of what I can't get in MUT. I can't play MUT, the grind is impossible with my thumbs the way they are, I can't physically do it, so it's just not an option for me.
Coaches routinely steal plays throughout the year from each other in the NFL. Last year, the "cheat" motion was largely stolen from from the Dolphins. The 49ers were one of the first teams to steal it. They used deebo on the cheat motion. Custom playbooks give you that ability to some extent.
I disagree with your assessment of "cheese plays". I define a "cheese play" as an unstoppable play. There were exactly zero unstoppable plays in Madden 24. Madden 25 hasn't been out long enough to come to that conclusion yet, but historically unstoppable plays have always been patched. I believe FK screen wheel was the last one and that was a couple of years ago.
While defense has been disproportionately difficult compared to offense, I don't think the solution is to ban custom playbooks (you have the option both offensively and defensively). Probably the biggest new feature in the game, switch stick, I think goes a long way to balancing this out. It's too early to know the full effect of this new feature, but I think it will make defense more in line with offense than in years past.
every play can be stopped and I cant believe custom playbooks aren't allowed. I've been ranked top 100 here and there over the years but I don't cheese. I cant set up my team the way I need to with out a custom playbook. THANK YOU EA SPORTS! I guess i am old school and will be taking a break from madden for another year after spending, SMH. I only use team specific play books.
So this doesn't ruin my game experience.
I simply have no option for voice chat in my accessibility/volume settings. The option for voice chat simply isn’t there at the bottom of the menu where it should be. I had this exact same problem with Madden 24. When I saw the same issue with Madden 25, I immediately refunded the game. Not playing it anymore until I know how to fix this issue. Does anyone else have this problem? EA???? Not only do I not have the option for voice chat, but I’m forced to listen to my opponent, I can’t turn off their chat. So it’s the worst of both worlds lol. It’s a game ruining issue for me. Please advise if anyone knows what to do, I do enjoy Madden but won’t play it again until I can fix this issue. Really want to rebuy the game and jump in, please help!
Not to mention 4 min quarters!? SMH
agreed there is indeed a player in the top 100 who is using a custom playbook 81% of the time. It literally says it. What the F is going on Madden? Fix this now!

For me it is about not making playboys predicable and adding my own options as I see fit.

If there are, then people do what they have been doing in tournaments. Right? Same play. Toss in a hot route, I don't use except to assign blocking, manual motions the game can't handle. 🤷🏿♂️

You have way more videos on money and cheese plays using hot routes to exploit the games "AI".
EA still has a lot to learn about playback editor and play call screen audible editor. I tell them every year. They look like they fixed part of it, but introduced a new bug. 🤦🏿♂️

You see an obvious bug when you simply list style if formations and formations that are not sorted as in previous versions. 🤷🏿♂️
They want to make sure the adding of plays doesn't result in incorrectly categorizing them like in Madden 25 back then that had shotgun plays added to the category of Hail Mary, etc...
If they stop putting so much time in MUT these simple.... SIMPLE... fixes would already be in place and not an issue.

If the game is what it is advertised there should be no "money" plays, right?
But every year Content Creators make a lot of money off of showcasing the holes in this game.
Now granted. Some are not as money as they claim.
Most require that hot route tha wouldn't fool a real defense, but easily fool many defenses setup.
Zone drops can be exploited as well.
But again... if gamers can pick that playback that they use to exploit the game engine and their opponent... well there should be a counter.
Money and cheese plays basically tell gamers all they need to know about the use of terms such as simulation, real football, etc...

People get mad when you show them the wholes in the game. To your point all they want to learn is cheap plays to win a game. 🤷🏿♂️
EA screwed up this madden.You cant use custom playbooks online and i cant use my 49ers all Black uniforms online play either.This the last madden ill buy been a fan since 1990.i really want a refund.you cant use custom playbooks and you Dont have enough time to set audibles online rank games
