X Fator bug in superstar mode.

This bug has just started happening this week. While in superstar mode and my Quarterback is getting close to getting  X Fator, the game will give me a challenge like run the clock by passing for 120 seconds. When I throw short passes to achieve this goal my player gets drained of all the X Fator he was cresting by throwing long passes. Why is this happening? This never was a problem before as long as you made several complete passes in a row my X Fator was always turned on. Now as soon as throw to my tight end it starts all over like I never have completed a pass. So why give challenges when it hurts my X Factor?
