Sorry to disappoint. So after 72+ hours of searching through this board and the EA "help" site I figured I should look for help topics that would give me the chat option. You would think that the chat option would be a first level option for users in dire need of help, but no. I clicked "How do I get a refund?" Sure enough, the chat option popped up. First Associate was very cordial and relatively helpful and patient. I have an xBox-S and they gave me a couple of things to troubleshoot with. "Adi" walked me through changing the DNS settings - no help, and then asked me to use my mobile hot spot. But once I did that we became disconnected. That did not help either by the way.
So I got back in chat and got a new associate. "Salyam". They were absolutely horrible. They sent me links to this community thread and to EA Help. I begged for help. They repeated themselves saying they were recording the notes so that someone else could look into the fix. I again asked to be walked through a process to fix the server issues. I asked 4 times if there were only 2 trouble shoot options - finally they responded and said yes, for the xbox there are only 2 troubleshoot options (change DNS settings and logon using mobile hotspot). I find this very hard to believe. They also told me to go XBox and ask them. Ultimately, I spent 100 minutes in chat with these EA Help fools. But this last person, Salyam, was the absolute worse.
Before I crashed from exhaustion, I contacted XBox help. Within 3 minutes I was in touch with an associate who walked me through a fix (reset the console, be sure to keep the apps and games). I did this, had to restore my console as new through my app, and probably 8 minutes later, I relaunched Madden and saw the damn servers not available again. I took a breath, hit the a-button again, and BOOM, it was fixed. I shut down, re-launched, and no problems. I was on chat with them for less than 15 minutes.
Maybe resetting your PS5 console will do the trick.
This whole experience was very disappointing.
