Hi everyone,
Thank you for all the details you've been sharing with us here in this thread. I know this has been a frustrating issue to deal with, and we are continuing to work on getting this fixed. To help us out, we were hoping you could share some additional info with us.
If you are able to share a DxDiag and a Windows Error Report log, as well as an EA app Error Report ID that would be really helpful. Please also include your EA Account name or Steam username in your reply.
You can find more info on how to grab a DxDiag file over at the EA Help website. Once you have the text file, please attach it to a reply in this thread.
The EA Help site also has more details on how to find your EA app Error Report ID. Please include the Report ID number in your reply as well.
To gather a Windows Error Report, you can use the Windows Event Viewer to set up a custom view that grabs only application errors. Check out the steps below for more details:
- Click the Search button (the magnifying glass) on your Windows task bar and type in Event Viewer. Click the icon to open it.
- In the Event Viewer window, right-click on Custom Views in the panel on the left side.
- When the menu opens, click the Create Custom View option.
- On the Filter tab, check all the boxes under Event level.
- Click the drop down menu next to Event logs
- In the drop down menu click the plus icon next to Windows Logs
- Check the box next to Application. You don't need to check any of the others.
- Click the drop down menu next to Event sources
- Scroll down until you see Windows Error Reporting and click the check box next to it.
- Click the OK button, and you should be able to name your Custom View. You can choose any name you'd like.
- Once you have entered a name, click OK.
- You should now see a list of all the application logs from Windows Error Reporting.
- Click the "Save All Events In Custom View As" button on the right side of the window
- Click the drop down menu next to File Type and select "Text (tab delimited) (.txt)"
- Enter a name for the text file in the Name section. If possible, please include your EA Account name or Steam username in the file name.
- Save the file to your preferred location.
If you're having any trouble following the steps above, check out this video from Microsoft. It goes through the process step by step, so that may help get a better of picture of how to follow the steps.
Once you have both the DxDiag and Windows Error Report text files, please attach them to a reply in this thread and include your EA Account name or Steam username in your post.
Thank you for your help with this!
