Re: Madden 25 PC HDR Washed out!
I ran into this problem as well initially. What I learned through researching other forums is Madden 25 uses HDR10+ to display its color profile. I noticed in my television settings after activating HDR through Madden 25 graphical settings the television's system switched over to HDR10+ input once I confirmed AUTO HDR in the game's system menu. I was then able to go into my television brightness settings with the HDR10+ input active on the television and bumped up the contrast to 100 over the factory's setting of 50. This improved the darkness dramatically. Now Madden 25 is crisp and colorful. The shadows dancing with the sunlight at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami are eye-popping, for sure. I'm sure I could probably dial-in an exact number on the contrast number with my Spears and Munsil calibration disc, but unfortunately, I do not have a 4K player that outputs HDR10+ to my television that supports HDR10+ at the moment.
Don't know what to say if your television doesn't support HDR10+. I do know you can still play the game without HDR, which I did for the first four hours but also felt it didn't look as good as the PS5's HDR output in terms of lighting. Once I learned of the HDR10+ correction, I committed to purchasing the game for PC for the 120hz refresh. Super smooth gameplay thus far and the visuals are impressive. I'm happy with it.
