Trouble playing H2H & showdown

I bought EA Pass on steam and now everytime I start the game it keeps asking for my favorite team like it's the first time bootup (also changing the settings to default) and it seems that i cant see my friends online on the game (they're on console but i have crossplay enabled)  & cant play H2H / showdown against my friends who are in console, if i try to host it'll get stuck on the loading screen after i selected the match options and if they try to invite me i can't see the invite.

is there a fix to this or should i just give it up?
