Trouble with madden heros

Hello I am having trouble with the madden heros quests. I needed 10 more madden hero tokens to unlock a madden hero player. So the quest I did was aquire a epic player from coral clash or offseason field pass which gives 20 madden hero tokens. I got the epic player select from the offseason field pass and took the special teams punt returner Calvin Austin. But it did not give me the madden hero tokens.
