Game keeps "freezing" for both players, and won't save favorite plays

When you go to call a play, every 4 to 5 plays the controllers for both players in H2H quit working, then you have to pause to get it to work again. The thing is, you only get a few pauses each half. Also when trying to save favorite plays in the Seattle Seahawks playbook, most plays disappear from favorites each game. Its infuriating.
