Gigantic delay on ultimate team plays

I play on PC and just bought the game, I tried to play H2H on Ultimate Team but the game lags immensely, to the point that it is unplayable due to the delay it takes, when I try to choose a play it take about 10 seconds to make a single move in the menu and more for the game to actually register the fact the I have already chose a play, the delay is also in the gameplay, is there something that could be done or have I payed for an unplayable game online ? The bugs do not appear offline
