Season of Boom Promo Card

I'm currently unable to add the upgrade token that was received in the welcome pack, to the 79 Peppers card. Everytime I try to add it, it just gives me the option to find the item or cancel. It's something to do with the upgrade token that came with the welcome pack because I can use the one's I earn from the challenges.
