Solo Battles Locked Yet Again

Solo battles have been locked for me for the past 3 days. Just shows rankings. I know this is a common occurrence and is one of the reasons I stopped playing this game two years ago. Contacting EA has become impossible and finding any information about correcting this problem is also futile. Can anyone give me any help or direction with this problem, or is it best to just stop playing this inferior game again?
